Constantly bemoaning the rise of neo-fascist forces around the world is not an adequate response to the foremost challenge of these times. Right-wing extremism running rampant around the globe must also be blamed on the failure of centrist and leftist forces to check its growth. It is possible to not let this constructive criticism turn into a useful tool in the hands of opportunistic right-wing fanatics.
Woefully, such much-needed criticism is not received well within most self-aggrandising progressive spaces where it is dismissed as a sign of falling prey to right-wing propaganda.
Political Systems Project was launched as a campaign of The Change Project to:
- Demonstrate that constructive criticism of the centre and the left can and must go hand in hand with an uncompromising and effective fight against the right.
- Attempt, in the spirit of democracy and diversity, to reform the right instead of always trying to undo the harm that right-wing forces cause.
- Working towards better political systems that can replace the crumbling model of the Left, Right, and Centre trifurcation of politics.
