Political Systems Project is envisioned as a pro-people, pro-constitution political consultancy project.
The use of political consultants, data analytics, and technology has significantly increased in Indian politics. This professionalisation of political parties and campaigns has not necessarily given us more pro-people governance. In fact, most of these services have gone into strengthening the right wing in India. On the rare occasions when these services have been of use to progressive forces, it has either been in situations where they were already poised to succeed or where they were allowed to temporarily succeed by a regime that has captured all the institutions of the Indian state.
Indian civil society has largely failed in making any meaningful intervention to stop this concerted effort to drive Indian politics and governance away from citizen-centric constitutionalism.
To fill this glaring gap, Political Systems Project was launched as an attempt to devise winning strategies that could help progressive Indian political parties save the Indian state from being fully captured by the authoritarian right, before it is too late.
